One - Buy a Fabreeze Candel ($5.00) get a Fabreeze Spray ($5.00 Twin Pack!) free PLUS I had a coupon, $3.00 off a Fabreeze candel!

Finding Pennies!
Today I went to Walmart, always Walmart. These are the coupons I used:
(this should have beeen 1.89 each!) 2 coupons each for a free bag of Frisky Cat treats! (not a buy one get one)
1.00 off Triskets
1.00 off 4 gallons of baby water
3.00 off any clearasil product (my 15 year old needed that)
1.00 off Palmolive detergent
1.50 off of 1 box of Honey Bunches of Oats
So, I spent 20.00 total because I picked up some other things (which if I had looked which I did when I got home, and kicked myself for it, I had coupons for).
Still, not bad! I went back later, found a bunch of their summer items for $1.00 so I was bad and picked up a bunch of pools to take to the flea market a small town nearby is having, maybe I can double my money there! If not well, I'll kick myself yet again!
(don't ask why this sentence is in here: Stick that on your power cord! )

WOW Savings for 9/25/09
Ok so I needed to get Baby Jacob some formula. I had an $8.00 coupon for Good Start by Nestle. A can of soy formula costs 13.47 at Walmart so I expected to pay about $5.47 plus tax.
But then I saw online a few other coupons.
So here's my coupon list:
Zantac coupon for $5.00
Similac coupon for $5.00
Good Start for $8.00
Good Start for $8.00 (yes I had two coupons)
Dr. Peper for $1.00
Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal for $2.00
Ok that's $29.00 in coupons
Now, let's look at what I bought and what it cost!
Zantac cost $4.46
Similac (32 oz instant do not add water)$6.24
Good Start (powder) $13.24
Good Start (32 oz instant do not add water)$6.56
Dr. Pepper (Big Bottle) $1.25
Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal $2.50
Milk 1/2 gallon for $1.68
Ok so....
Total before coupons: $35.93
Total Tax: $3.03
Coupons savings: $29.00
GRAND TOTAL: (Drumroll) $9.96
OMG WOW Until next time!

I'm Determined!
Wow is all I can say. I checked my mailbox yesterday and got some GREAT things! Here's a couple of pictures:
Then I went to Wal Mart today with my coupons and saved $58.00. Yes, $58.00.
The things I purchased were things I would have gotten anyway but I had buy one get one free coupons, free coupons and greatly discounted coupons. All in all I spent $42.16, that cut my bill in half! This didn't take me long, but it did take just a wee bit of planning, like sitting down the family and saying, "ok guys and gals, what do you want for dinners this week and what exactly do I need to pick up?"
I did that three days in advance then mapped out the savings by going to the store and picking up a flier. I figured out about how much it was going to cost and attacked it like a general sends his troups to attack in war!
I used the coupons that I got with the samples I've been signing myself up for too, this helped me a lot.
All in all it was well worth it!
Later on today I'm going to hit up the yard sales to see if I can find anything to put on E*bay. I'll tell you all about it later if not tomorow!

How I Do It
One of my favorite haunts used to be yard sales and flea markets. Since I loved redecorating but had a small budget, these places always offered such great potential. More than that though, I can often find trinkets to sell on E*bay or resell in my own yard sales. Savings are everywhere, you just have to be in the right frame of mind to find them. Some may call it cheap or stingy, I don't think that's the case, I call it wise. I'm not like this with all things for my family, just the things I think I can get a gooddeal for. What's so wrong with that?
